The Seven Chakras and the Crystals That Speak to Each
The seven chakras are the yogic tradition's map of the subtle body — seven energy centres running from the base of the spine to the crown of the head, each governing a different register of how we live. A 7 Chakra energy tool, whether a pyramid, a curated stone set, or a framed form, is a visible version of that map. Placed and used with attention, it is a daily anchor for practice; placed by aesthetic alone, it is only a colourful object. The difference is understanding what each stone is for.
This is a field guide, not a prescription. You do not need to own a single stone to use it — our hope, as with everything we share openly, is that even a reader who never buys a thing leaves with a clearer sense of their own subtle body.
The seven centres, root to crown
- Root (Muladhara) — red jasper. Grounding, stability, and the felt sense of safety. The foundation everything else rests on.
- Sacral (Svadhisthana) — carnelian. Creativity, passion, and emotional flow; the centre of appetite for life.
- Solar plexus (Manipura) — citrine. Confidence, willpower, and personal power; the seat of self-belief.
- Heart (Anahata) — green aventurine. Love, harmony, and emotional healing; the bridge between the lower and upper centres.
- Throat (Vishuddha) — blue apatite or sodalite. Communication, expression, and speaking one's truth.
- Third eye (Ajna) — lapis lazuli. Intuition, clarity, and inner vision.
- Crown (Sahasrara) — amethyst. Spiritual awareness, connection, and inner wisdom; the opening toward the limitless.
Seven gemstones, each aligned to one centre from root to crown — a visible map of the subtle body and a quiet anchor for daily practice.
How to use a 7 Chakra tool
A 7 Chakra set can be laid along the body in Shavasana, each stone resting near its centre, for a simple grounding meditation. A 7 Chakra orgone pyramid concentrates the whole spectrum upward through its apex and suits a meditation corner or altar. Whichever form you keep, the practice is the same: sit with it, breathe, and let attention move from root to crown and back. The tool does not do the work for you — it holds the shape of the work so your attention has somewhere to rest.
Placement in the home
In Vastu, a 7 Chakra pyramid belongs in the north-east — the Ishan corner, the zone of divine grace and clarity — where a meditation practice is most naturally cultivated. Placed there, it serves double duty: a map of the subtle body for the person practising, and a balancing presence for the room itself. Begin with the corner, as always, and let the object follow the intention rather than the other way around.
If you are drawn to the chakra system but unsure where to start, start with the centre that feels most out of tune — the one governing whatever in your life feels stuck. A single stone, held with intention, teaches more than a whole set left on a shelf. That is how every practice begins: not with the full map, but with one honest question about where you are.
The energy tools at The Right Energy are rooted in Vastu and crystal traditions. They are intended for spiritual practice and intention-setting, and are not a substitute for medical, financial, or professional advice.
